Miroslav (Miro for short) has moved, delivered and recycled thousands of donated furniture items across the GTA in his 10 years as a truck driver at Furniture Bank…

Miro - Furniture Bank Truck

After immigrating to Canada from the former Soviet Union in the late 80’s, Miro found his calling as Furniture Bank’s first permanent full-time truck driver in 2004, and we’re so glad that he did!

Now, fast forward 10 years and he’s still picking up furniture from donors and delivering it to families and individuals reestablishing their lives in new homes.

Speaking with Miro, you quickly learn that he’s seen it all and experienced everything you can when it comes to gently-used donated furniture. From handling and moving hundreds of antique furniture items donated through estate sales to the tears of joy he’s witnessed after delivering furniture to a client’s home, Miro truly embodies Furniture Bank’s mission of empowering lives through furnished homes.

We’re excited to share that on Monday June 9th, we’ll be riding along side Miro as he makes 3 furniture donation pickups in the Oakville area. we’ll be capturing all the furniture donation action throughout the day live on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. We’ll also be posting pictures from the day on our Blog.
